It hasn't been acknowledged, but
When Steve Jobs left the ring,
The Apple visionary was
Exploring the Next Thing:
The "iDof" (with the name derived
From "Doddering Old Fool"),
The new device for those of us
Relentlessly un-cool!--
The aging population who
Abhors the tweeting rage,
Who'd rather starve in prison than
Observe a Facebook page!--
Self-conscious in our ignorance
And safe behind our scowls,
More comfortable with blood-work and
Discussions of our bowels!
The "iDof" is a lot like us--
A bee without sting--
It blinks and blathers endlessly
But doesn't do a thing!
